Mark, these are good. Especially like one in chalk taken from below. Good work.

Re: Show us your self portrait!

Maria - I don't think you have done a self portrait. Have you?
Mark - I like your second portrait. Must have been difficult to do that angle. I would get neck pain.

Yeah Janet I have. Its in Oil on board. As our professor asked us to do. But it is too large and I dont have camera, I have scanner and it wont fit on that one. I have to scan it in pieces and then rejoin them. A long task.

Re: Show us your self portrait!

Maria - that's too bad you can post it. Why don't you do a digital one? You are quite good at it. Just a challenge....

Re: Show us your self portrait!

This thread is really great. Maria, I like the sepia-style one, has a feeling of melancholy ... it's not just the minimalism in colors, but the gaze also ... really nice work.
Mark, I like your second one, has a sort of expressive energy to it.
And I forgot to rate the thread the last time I posted ... definitely 5

Re: Show us your self portrait!

Maria, these are wonderful. I love the gaze of the sepia tone. You have caught a moment and not just a likeness. Great! And your daughter is darling. What a wonderful and intimate look into your love for her. Great job!

Re: Show us your self portrait!

What I said above still applies, but just noticed that it is you and your mother, not your daughter. Sorry for the mistake. Still a wonderful portrait.

Tom, thanks for posting this here. I do admire how quickly and well you did this.

Donna, you look like such a warm, friendly person. This is lovely!

Mark, I'm glad you posted these. Your inimitable style shines through on them!

Maria, great work on both of these. I hope you will do a digital version - I'd love to see it!

Maria that oil pastel painting is great. Curiously, I am working on an oil painting with a mother and child with the same pose.
I am happy that you've decided to do the digital portrait. Will look forward to seeing it. I just bought the 6D pen and will try it too.
