Probably my first ever still life painting.

I do believe this is my first still painting Im not too sure. Ive done still life drawings but never paintings, anyways here it is!

OK, this is an odd thing to say. And on a forum where odd things are said frequently!

Anyway, it is a likeable effort, whether or not it is your first still life.
And what is the story with the skull? Was it just lying around, did you rob a graveyard, or what?

Lolol I usually paint from photos and I ordered the skull from amazon. Ive been into a lot of gothic literature so using the skull as a prop helps feed my goth side.

It's fantastic. Love the chiaroscuro. I have a skull and a slew of bones I've been wanting to paint.

@Lazarus: you should be ashamed of yourself

I have a skull too, but it is resin.
It appears in still lifes occasionally
I got it when I was a student, we were doing a lot of drawing in the anatomy lab.

If youre painting things around you, they are probably salable to the regional market
