Thoughts arise and thoughts leave, in a never ending stream, while you, The Watcher looks on. Put any dark ones in the corner. Go and look at them whenever you want to, but not today. Today, go and do something else.
Photo manipulation. Photos laid over an old, rediscovered, abstract painting I never knew what to do with.

        Love it!
I really like the stream of items and things arching over her with sub conscious (keep out, great idea) on one side over to the dark thoughts on the other.
        Super cool work!

Thanks L Skylar Brown and talisman. In the future, I would like to develop some paintings upon this theme. Thoughts about (apparently) being a somewhat detached observer to your own thoughts (when at the same time being their author), fascinate me.
I don’t believe anybody should attempt to paint “by committee” but I would be very interested in hearing anybody’s thoughts and ideas that might add to the image in any way. What would you add or take from this image to enhance it?

If she’s a mother I would add something to do with that because even when your children are grown, you think of them constantly.

        This is gorgeous.

Brilliant addition vmrs !! Such a profound part in the lives of women!
I use a woman here as my main focus, but of course I’m really just using her as a beautiful symbol to represent “human.” She hasn’t got to be nude either, but I didn’t want a dress to “fix” her in one particular point in history. This must be timeless. I think when it comes to it, I shall do many versions of this idea, and explore different ways of depicting thoughts as well as other approaches that hint at the “inner space” of our minds.

Now, if anyone present in this congregation, knows of any reason why this painting should not be allowed to proceed “as is” (with aforesaid childhood amendments), let him now speak, or forever hold his peace.

I like it as is but a hand mirror would be cool, image of self, or of perception of self.
Not only women have this need for validation.

Mirror! Wow! Now that is very interesting. “Who is me? What am I?” Thanks talisman! I like it!

                    Very interesting
