JimMay 8, 2018 at 4:37 pm #618985cheers jim yep it was edited from a one and only photo I found to shuffle the aircraft/ horizon around to look a bit better ,, couldn’t tell you where thorny island is , but if it is near poole you would be right ,, know exactly where you’re coming from with the old bit ,, oh how we laughed at our grandparents ,, bet their getting the last laugh now eh !!

Thorney Island was to the east of Portsmouth I think it might have been Coastal / Transport Command Training they had ‘Valetas’ there in the 60’s.
