Re: Sleeping Wolves

Looking great Gary, love the blues in the snow and echoed in the fur, I must remember this when I attempt snow (on my list of to do's)!!

Re: Sleeping Wolves

Many thanks all, really appreciate your kind comments.

Snow detailing to the back snow, water drips in den and furring to the back of the front wolf. Ear, Legs, shoulder, face and front snow next. Then some final tweaking and Iím done.

Painting fun
Gary

Re: Sleeping Wolves

Its a wonderful piece, Gary. Now that the detailing is in, though, I can't tell if that golden-red fur is part of the front wolf's head & neck, or if its part of the tail draping over the front wolf's neck. My eyes keep jumping back & forth about it.

Its probably just me seeing it this way, but thought I'd mention it.

Re: Sleeping Wolves

Pat, your eyes are really good. Love youíre tweaking
Iím just finishing the neck, ear, shoulder, front legs.
The area youíre highlighting now has a row of black fur and a rear ear top piece.
Thanks for the C&C, its a great help and confirms what I thought too.
Painting fun
Gary

Re: Sleeping Wolves

Thanks JonC, and thanks again for the photo ref pic, will be doing something on them soon, I'll keep you posted.

Almost finished, just some front snow detailing and tweaking here and there just to make it pop a bit more. C&C welcome.

Painting fun
Gary

Re: Sleeping Wolves

Really beautiful, I love your solution, especially that little tip of ear showing-- no doubt about whats in front now.

Re: Sleeping Wolves

That is a lovely painting! Really nice work and I love how you tweaked it to make the definition between the two wolves even more evident.
