After WW2. HMS Northern Wave (and her sisters) returned to their peace time occupation of Deep Sea Fishing. They hunted fish in the same waters they had hunted U Boats. Although now they didn’t have to face Bombs and Torpedoes, they still had the old enemies of the cold and the sea. Now it wasn’t Cargoes for Russia. Now it was Cod for the dinner table!?

I stand in awe of these lads . To face what they do day after day takes some guts and hardiness . Well captured Jim.

Thanks to the three of you. The class were built in Germany and UK got them as reparations after WW1. They fished successfully until being STUFT. (Ships Taken Up From Trade) for WW2. They became anti submarine Escorts and were quite successful. After the war it was back to fishing.
