Bella Donna

I have not posted on this web site in several years. I lost the sight in my left eyes 2 1/2 years ago and haven't drawn anything since then. Not sure if I really could do a decent job anymore. I decided to try this. This drawing was a Christmas present for my daughter-in-law. This was one of her babies and she got hit by a car last year and killed. It broke her heart and she is still not over it. She had this picture of her and I decided to try and draw it for her as a gift. I thought it turned out pretty good for me. She cried and said it was the best present she had ever received. It is Prismacolor on Strathmore mixed media 90 lb paper. Any c&c's welcome.

This is really beautiful. I can see why your daughter cried from happiness. I love all the pink. This work of art will be treasured forever. Now that you have done one, it would be great to see more from you. I hope your dry spell is over.

Re: Bella Donna

Thank you so much Vena. Bella had cute pink skin on her. She has Bella's sister that grew up with Bella and she looks like she has pink rouge on her cheeks. I Hope it is over and I can get back to drawing more.

Re: Bella Donna

I really like the style of this. Nice job! Picking up drawing again may serve as a sort of physical therapy for your right eye. This drawing shows you can clearly still draw.
