I hope this is the right forum for this question.

Can anyone recommend a good app for tracking studio inventory? I hate buying the same tube of paint twice. :)

You have to start somewhere. It might as well be here.

You could try using DataViz Documents to Go.http://www.dataviz.com/docs-to-go
Learning to use a spreadsheet will take some time, but once learned, the applications are very useful.
You don’t have to have Microsoft Office on your home computer, Open Office will work fine and coordinate with Documents to Go on your phone.

            As Carol stated, spreadsheets.

I recommend Apple Numbers or Google Docs’ Spreadsheet. Google works on every type of computer or tablet. The reason being is that while DataViz Documents to Go is a lovely thought, you have to pay to play, and it can get expensive when you need the add-ons. This is also true for Microsoft with their current monthly fees.

I like Numbers because you can add photos to the spreadsheet itself, so when you are doing painting and drawing inventory, you can have a reference photo.
