Re: Parrot- WIP

OK...I'm calling it done... and obviously the background is not airbrushed, though I do think it would have given a better result.... but the store I was going to get my airbrush from was out of stock, so ordered one online and I think it will be a little while before I feel confident enough to use an airbush on a piece... but you WILL be seeing me do that in the not too distant future. Anyways, went with steel wool and inks. On the plus side the store I was going to get my airbrush at had one bottle of old ampersand spray that I snatched up!!

It does have a couple of layers of spray on it already, as I couldn't photograph it without spraying due to the glare from where I inked and steel wool makes it all shiny too. So this, my friends, is how it stands, however I always welcome C&C on any of my pieces.

some close ups

Email or call when you get it. I want to make sure you don't learn some bad habits you have to break later. I'll be glad to help if I can.

Re: Parrot- FINISHED

I'm doing a Yorkie Memorial right now. Unfortunately, the owner also lost her Parrot around the same time. Fortunately, with this Parrot for an example, I'm going to be begging her for photos of him so I can try something like this. This is so darn beautiful, Cathy.
