Hello I'm new! :-)

Hello,

Found this forum and thought someone may be able to help.
I'm trying to get confirmation on the best paints to use on an outside mural?

I have painting only inside murals is far and have been asked to paint one outside.

I have had a little look on the net and a few comments have suggested acrylics?

I have little experience in outdoor paints and feeling a bit confused. I understand that the paints will have to be weather enduranced, can normal acrylics do the same job?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated .

Many thanks
Myshell

Hi. Welcome. Yes, you'll really enjoy the beautiful work and loads of information as well as the camaraderie in the Decorative Arts/Murals/Faux forum. I've seen some awesome outdoor work displayed there in a variety of threads, along with generous explanations and advice.

Myshell--

Welcome to WC! Lots of fine folks here, you will meet some of them as you browse about. There are lots of muralists here. Hint: start a thread in the Acrylics forum titled "Looking for Muralists!", that will get their attention.

Always glad to see new members, hope you have time to explore all the different Forums. There are all levels of artists creating, sharing, teaching and exploring in virtually all mediums. There are many tutorials available, and the friendly folks will help you with any questions.

Be sure to check out the Photography Forum, too. No camera is required! This is the place to share any of your photos and to see what is going on.

Looking forward to seeing your art, too.

Life is good

Greg
