Re: Can Anyone Recommend A Printer?
Hi Archivalarts ... so far I've done printing on some parchment that I had on hand, a bit of rough finish card stock (neither were inkjet coated) and some hand made papers, and it's printed great ... it doesn't have the photograph color quality, but when I'm using those types of paper I'm looking for a more rustic or earthy look. When I've printed on photo quality papers it's printed fantastic. The Ilford Galerie Classic Pearl paper I had is wonderful also. I've been really pleased with my Canon Pixma iX6520; print size and price were my biggest factors for selecting it, and it hasn't disappointed me at all. I had an Epson a while back and it sits unused in our basement because it clogged ALL the time and I could never keep it printing (the ink use when running the cleaning function was also outrageous)...maybe I had a faulty Epson, but it certainly kept me from selecting another.
