Images INVALID (when they are not)
Hello,
I tried to upload an image this morning (it was a jpg) and was told the image was an invalid jpg or gif. So I went into photoshop and saved as a gif instead. Said the same thing. BOTH of them are valid jpg and gif files created with photoshop from a digital photo so I have no idea what is happening. I uploaded fine the other day. Same camera, same program, same browser, nothing changed on my end.

Re: Images INVALID (when they are not)
When I have problems I switch to Wet Canvas from Mozilla over to Internet Explorer to upload. Can't explain it, and it is only on this computer, my laptop, work, and other computers in the house never have a problem.
Only suggestion I have.
this is an intermittent problem with my computer, not all the time. If I log off WC and come back later that also solves the problem once in a while.

Could be an illegal character in the file name.

It's just the computers playing with you. Computers have a sense of humor you know. At least, I swear I've heard mine snickering at me on at least two separate occasions.

Re: Images INVALID (when they are not)
I find this with changing my avatar. I have tried taking the old image out first, logging on and off, changing image title, image format, keeping image at 60x59 pixels and below kB size, and registered a posting (this being my second one for the day - hoping that will grant me access as it was a previous requirement). All to no avail. All I get is -
This part of the website has been very temperamental. Maybe I should use an image of a gremlin to get acceptance.
Hope someone will provide a simple explanation or instruction.

At last, success! So what made the difference?
I am not 100% sure, but after disconnecting my computer from the Internet and coming back to it later, has in some way, allowed me to add my avatar. Simply logging off and back on did not work.
My first avatar upload also became doable after disconnecting and reconnecting the Internet to the computer. It sounds like a problem with my connectivity to the Internet and may have nothing to do with WetCanvas website. In any case, I am no longer going to tamper with my avatar.

Re: Images INVALID (when they are not)
That's the nature of the problem, they are intermittent. Always worth trying again later.
