computer drawing pad

Does anyone have recommendations for a drawing pad for a computer? My son wants to try it out, so we don't want to spend too much, but drawing with an ordinary mouse is a definate pain I found one by HyperPen on Ebay, but am hesitant since I don't know anything about them. Thanks for any input!

Re: computer drawing pad

There are some cheap pads available which will work with most graphics programs.

I have a Wacom Art Pad 2 which although quite small is an effective substitute for a mouse and much easier for drawing. It came with a graphics program too.

Re: computer drawing pad

I have the cheapest Wacom pad. I don't know what model it is, I am not at home to check. It is small but very handy.

Re: computer drawing pad

I would not recommend anything other than a Wacom, I use a Graphire 2 which is the low end of the market, it is great!

Re: computer drawing pad

The Adesso drawing pad is cheap and effecive and I use it for all my published digital art. Wacom are an excellent brand but can be expensive with specifications the same as lower priced products
