Canvases

Any recommendations for decent store-bought canvases? I just read under topic re/WMOs that paint absorbs into inexpensive canvases and I'm trying to avoid unnecessary obstacles. I'd prefer paying a little more to save time from adding add'l gesso before painting -- if that really is a good option.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Re: Canvases

I always look for pre-stretched canvas that says there are at least 3 coats of acrylic ground (or gesso). I would avoid the discount brands.
