This painting is from a photo I took at a local village flower festival, where the entire village was decked out in flowers including all the rooms in the chateau. These amarylis were hanging up-side-down along the large sweeping staircase - a truly breathtaking display.

Maureen, I actually painted this awhile ago but never posted it. It does make me want to get those softies out again though. Now that it's warmer and I can paint outside so the dust is not so bad, I'll do some pastels. I do miss the feel of them.

This is beautiful. I love the background color you choose - complements the flowers very nicely. The flowers are just beautiful - flowing with lots of emotion.
