Getting the Gang Together
Howdy, All! I haven't named (or signed) this one yet, not sure if the foreground is too devoid of interest.
Let me know what you think
Thanks for looking!

Gayle, that re: was spur of the moment, and I think you're right, funny how a title can pop out just like that! hahaha
I haven't "finished" or varnished a painting before but I think this one would really pop if it gets a clear coat, it does have a faded denim look about it.
I'm glad you enjoy it!

How big is it?
I like it (and the title) too - wouldn't add anything

Re: Getting the Gang Together
OOps! Sorry- it's an 8x10 canvas. I was playing with the drip technique & couldn't help but see "trees".
Thank you for looking!

Re: Getting the Gang Together
Very nice! I tried the drip technique once.. makes a very messy workspace . You have used it very effectively in your scene. Good work on the birds too esp the one's in flight

Re: Getting the Gang Together
Thank you, Bhavani, my workspace is quite colorful! hahaha
I also have these fantastic radiators that I can slide a wet canvas beneath or lean upon (towel below dripping art) that assists in drying the paint before it travels too far.
Kathie-Thank you! I can't help but try technique over technique. There are so many possibilities & they're all fun!

Re: Getting the Gang Together
I absolutely love the drips April. I would not touch this. It is different and has a sense of an early morning sunrise with the the mist rising from the ground.

Re: Getting the Gang Together
Hi April, I followed a thread from Cafe Guerbois to here...hey, I like the birds very much. It's full of life and interesting patterns.

Re: Getting the Gang Together
Thank you, everyone who took the time to look!
BurntLight, my spontaneity still gets me in trouble!
Just can't seem to keep myself from trying "something different" and once the journey down a new road is begun, it begs to be followed until you reach the end
CatJoe, thanks for "following" me! I try to have activity & humor whenever possible.
Which also gets me in trouble!
