Re: Magic art of Paul Klee (artists A-Z)

My rendition of "L'Arrivee du Marie," 1933, presumably a portrait of Klee's mother, Marie. Acrylic, 8 x 10 on canvas panel, Sharpie black outlines

I've used the Klee idea of outlining (which he probably stole from Rauoult) in some of my recent quickies. Here's one example:

Janet....the staring eyes and the black& white treatment definitely say 'Fear'. Good illustration for a halloween card too!

Old hobbyist. The black outlines make the work striking and graphic. The breaking apart of the figure ... a cubist treatment.

Do you have a liking for cubism in general? Its something that I haven't really come to terms with yet.

Looking forward to more of everyone's 'Klee's'.

Hi Trish. You can post your art now or later. Our projects usually last a month, but we often go over that time. Looking forward to seeing your Klees.

Re: Magic art of Paul Klee (artists A-Z)

My printer died, so had to photograph....hence there is a white glare on the right side of the picture.

Copy of "The Ships Depart" (1927) oil pastel:

and a watercolor, "Milbersthofen Near Munich" (1923)

He did so many drawings that look like wonderful doodles....I doodle all the time and should try to do some work around them. I'm inspired
