Opening for 100 Faces, Antiwar Show

Hi Everyone, I'm getting ready for a show of a big project that I've been working on all winter, It's called 100 Faces, all soldiers killed in the Iraq war, since 2004. I started this project with 100 drawings, then worked into oil paintings. I got inspired to create mixed media surfaces and plow my portraits on top. As a final stage, I scaled up images, making them 24 by 33 oil on panels. I will post some of my images for you to see. The show will be in Seattle at Trofeo Gallery in Fremont, hanging for 2 months. For the opening we will light 100 luminarias and place them out on the sidewalk. Annie

What a very awesome show and I would love to see it in person if I didn't live so far away.
A huge to you for commemorating these soldiers who lost their lives.

Very thoughtful show. I'm hoping to head up to Washington in a month or so. Perhaps I'll even have a chance to see it in person!

That's great. The show is in Fremont, just off of a street called Stone Way. One block west of Stone way in Wallingford, and 36th in a corner gallery called Trofeo. Hope you can make it there! Annie
