Re: Red Fox Commission - FINISHED

Thanks Mark! Crooked Creek! No Kidding! There is a very telling story about our arrival to our Crooked Creek Ranch actually! So bare with me its short. Back when the kids were wee my husband and I were dreaming about the future as young couples often do especially when times are tough. Anyway we were talking about where we wanted to end up and we decided that we wanted to be in the wilderness with lots of trees and a creek that ran through the back yard! And thought we might call it The Crooked Creek Ranch. well 10 yrs later we found our little place in the bush right next to a National Park and low and behold there was a creek in our back yard. Well there was a lot of trees and brush to be cleared as the fellow who owned it before was a bit of a slob. One day about a month after we moved I was clearing some fallen trees and brush out of the front of the property and I can't even begin to tell you the emotion that flooded over me when I pulled on a big old branch that was hiding a sign that said "Welcome to the Crooked Creek Ranch" It was then that I knew I was really Home!

That's a neat story, strange hope things work out sometimes. How far north do you live. I live at the Crooked Creek Hatchery, it's not a hatchery any more though. The creek runs through my front yard.

Re: Red Fox Commission - FINISHED

We are in the center of Saskatchewan but most consider it to be in the North Country as its pretty much all wilderness north of us and all bush and lakes! Not much in the way of civilisation. Prince Albert is known as the gateway to the North. If you look on the map we are right on the south end of the Prince Albert National Park.
