~ SHR LAKE CHAFFEE'S AUTUMN LEGACY O' TRAD FINIAN MAC JH ~

I spent some time yesterday with me gun dogs MAC and TRAD in the freshly fallen snow. The lads were granted a day off from training and allowed to frolic in the snow together at will. Don't get me wrong, they love training and all o' the associated hard work that goes along with it, however, yesterday was just a matter o' fun and exercise. Having me camera along for the walk, I captured this portrait o' MAC during one o' his rare stationary moments. MAC will hit the two year mark next month.

Not just a "looker", MAC is currently 8 for 8 in his hunt test stakes ran and many, many birds retrieved after his 2nd year afield as a gun dog. MAC will again be campaigned in both AKC and HRC hunt tests during 2020.

C & C always welcomed.

Cheers,
THE DOG WHISTLER ☘️🇮🇪🇺🇸

Very well done. Animals don't stay in poses we want!
I love the balance in the picture frame, the serene expression, as well as the colors.

Champion image of a champion dog.
Great eye contact, goes right to the heart.

That's a professional-quality photo, Mike. Great exposure, light, and colors.

Perhaps a little more room above Mac's head (if the background permits it)?

Dave,
Thanks. Shot it a bit tight and I totally agree a bit more headroom wood be better.

Thanks for your critique.

Cheers,
