Emphasis Foreground

Evening all!

Just throwing some studies out into the ether.

They are painted from a photo ref from the library, but I'm having a really hard time finding the link.

I'll edit this post to include the name of the author and subject when I can find it.

No real direction with this, just experimental.

Maybe something will come of it.

It's definitely been interesting, as foregrounds for me have always been an afterthought.

Any advice on an approach to foreground, or the painting in general would be appreciated.

I like the effect Mike, obviously you used masking fluid and it worked.
