Elza Gate trestle

Was captivated by the grasses in the foreground so I had to try and capture that sense of space.

9 inch by 20 inch gouache on paper.

Looking good, greens are solid and convincing. Maybe some clouds or variation in the sky, or another layer of hills in the distance would improve the composition.

Thanks Boogiechile, I appreciate the advice. I definitely need to develop my ability to paint clouds in the sky. As for the additional hills, I was trying to represent the view as it is, and from this vantage point there are none visible.
