Re: Scavenger Hunt #610: Nov 13 - 21

KarmArt, great scene with the brush pens. I like how you did the foreground, the sky, the river (or lake), the trees, well, everything

Ai, wonderfully done shoes and nice and cheerful water bucket! I didn't know Kivrin but sure she would love watching you using those pastels. Keep at it.

1- has one button (desk lamp) - charcoal pencil on a cheap A5 sketchpad.

Ai - thank you. Look at all those juicy pastels nestled in their case!! Oh yay a watercolour bucket with a flower pattern

individuo - well done on that lamp. Reminds me of the lamp at the start of animated movies - Pixar movies - Luxo Jr.

#8 make me sing -- prepping for our homemade pizza. We also grow sweet potato; so today we use our sweet potato leaves in place of spinach in our homemade pizza tonight. Done with WC & ink.

KarmArt. - Nice landscape. Your painting matches Jo’s description of her little bridge in the trees. I like how you textured the grass in the foreground.

Ai - love the clogs and heels. Love pastels. Colors ring like no other medium. The water bucket looks also delicate in comparison. I am waiting on breakfast and your pizza making painting is making me hungry. Pastel, color pencil, watercolor, ink…will graphite and acrylic be the next two?

Individuo - Nicely done. I looked before I read and assumed it was graphite. Shading is excellent. Lamp was my idea for one button as well. Not too many one button choices.

Keep sketching
Joe

Re: Scavenger Hunt #610: Nov 13 - 21

I hadn't realized how much time I took off, great stuff here. Thanks everyone for your comments.

EP, your dots and keys are great. I never tried those dots with watercolor, they work great with acrylics and oil.

Ai, I like your digital buttons. Well done. The shell and Rubics cube are great. You did a good job with Kivrin's pastels. A nice set and memories! And cp on the water bucket, nice. Your pizza looks interesting. I had pizza last night, but not so exotic. :-)

KarmArt, you captured the bridge and trees so well. Yay!

individuo, hi there. I like the lamp, well done. I would have a black mess all over!

Joe, good catches for the buttons. I don't think I ever took my electric eraser out of the package. Hmm. Maybe I gave it away.

I sketched on the porch today, it is so nice out. Number 7, two buttons, with Prismacolor 03 in the big book.

I did a Pan Pastel in class on Friday, I will use it for #8 makes you smile, 6 x 8 on Pastel card.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #610: Nov 13 - 21

EP, thanks, I guess desk lamps will make me smile from now on.

Ai, thanks. I missed your food sketches, and this one is excellent!

Joe, thanks. Great remotes and eraser! Candle remote, I couldn't believe it and looked it up, I wasn't thinking about led candles and was trying to figure out how it could work.

Jo, thanks, it's very hard to believe you would make a mess of anything, besides, you work beautifully in pastel, doesn't it behave similar to charcoal?(I am completely ignorant about pastels, and if you erase "about pastels" the sentence is still true ) Great ink sketch as always, that piece of clothing looks soft and warm. Love your landscape in pastel.

jo - Great hatching on the plaid and your hand!! The pan pastel is sweet. Is that distant rain?

Individuo - closest thing to a real candle remote is probably the lighter/snuffer thing I used as an altar boy We have wax candles and battery candles all over the house. We rarely light the real ones anymore.

Keep sketching

Joe

Joe- really nice job on the “buttons” challenge

Aunt Jo- great job on the sleeve and hand and I Love the mini storm pastel.
