Nice photos, Tyree. I have been pottering around in the photography forum, even though I don't own anything more advanced than a point-and-shoot. :-)

Some recent pictures:

And a drawing (ballpoint pen, 5 x 3,5 inch):

Yes, lovely photos Susan and Brian.....

fun VW sketch....it looks sad . Back in the day I never would have thought there would be almost none of the little guys scootin' around. They do look like they're fun to draw.

We are back home , still have alot of cleaning and yard work to do ; but it feels SO good to be back.

Re: Cafe Michaelangelo ~April 2016~

I like the mini. But then, I tend to like any and all minis. :-)

Funny that you should think the aloes are big. I got exactly the same comment in the Photography forum where I also posted the photo. I wonder what it is in the photo that makes the aloes appear to be very big, because they aren't; perhaps about knee-high or so. Or perhaps you are just used to very small aloes? How big did you think those aloes are?

Ah, I see: you guessed their size about correctly. You are just used to much smaller ones. Around here we get quite big ones. And in some parts of southern Africa even tree-sized ones.

Here is my first ATC for a set to swap in an ancient Egypt project on the atcsforall.com site.

Waterbirds on papyrus, using inktense.

Yes, why not? When I taught myself to paint, I did so on common cardboard cut from old boxes. There is something liberating in using such cheap materials, and one can make perfectly decent (if not exactly archival) paintings on such supports.

Oil sketches from some years ago, done on humble cardboard primed with a layer of acrylic:

And a grisaille (which are even easier and more informal, and I like them so much I'm considering doing nothing else ):
