Re: The Spotlight - March 2015 - The Color Violet

Thank you, everyone! It's neat to hear you say the flowers are dancing, Ural! Sometimes it's nice to just try different things, and see what it turns out to look like. The red paper was a fun experiment.

AnnaLisa, finish that clematis, and, Nick, the magnolia!

Cali, you're a mischief maker! You had me going for a minute, thinking you were serious. We'd be lost without Don!

Ural, love your bluebell forest (I went back a page to see what I missed.) You definitely captured the light n it and the massed flowers. A very calm, serene painting with a different feel, like it's a little cooler out than the other paintings. Still great - I love seeing the changes between interpretations!

Bonnie, love that sunset! Clouds bursting with color and a sweet blaze, love the feeling that the greens are in warm light yet still distinctly green! You got the atmosphere in yours so well.

Both of you have good atmosphere and sense of weather in yours.

Cali, Too bad I didn't see your message earlier! I would have confirmed my upcoming vacation - perhaps I would have taken two or three months off!

But, alas, too late now as I have just posted next month's Spotlight...

Don

Don, we wouldn't know what to do without you! And that's NOT April Fools!
