Jennifer's Nest

Here is a finished 11x14 white board scratched with various scratching tools and colored with wax pastels and pan pastels. Comments appreciated.

Great colors! Really like this one! Is there a back story to Jennifer?

Hey Harry, I'm a Jennifer, though I get called Jenny, as I only got called Jennifer when I was naughty!! Love this, the colours are so gentle.

Re: Jennifer's Nest

Great going Harry. The interesting perspective will draw viewers in.... The details and nice color, will keep them.

I will admit, my brain was flipping back and forth from the birds head looking down as intended & a 1:00 angle. The long straw coming out from behind its head becoming a long beak.

Re: Jennifer's Nest

I did a scratchboard demo for some pastellists the other day and sent them to see your work because I'm sure they will relate to it. Excellent piece Harry.

Re: Jennifer's Nest

Thanks to all for commenting on this piece. I particularly am grateful to Rodman for pointing out the design flaw regarding the stick seeming to emerge from the bird's head. Once, I started fiddling with this work I could not stop making changes. Here is the current iteration.
