Re: Watermedia "September Challenge"

Kathy, that underpainting with quin red and perm orange really worked well, giving the structure an inner glow. Love this one!
Misa, welcome to Watermedia and to WetCanvas! Your castle doorway arch is inviting us all to step through.
Shell, your stylized window setting has lots of linear dominance and I'm liking the heart shaped leaves! Some objects float around the composition.
Brilliant, all 3 of these works!

Here's one from me.
25cm x 20cm - watercolor on Bockingford WC paper, and some Inktense (can't do without my beloved Inktense Pencils!)

That's lovely!

Shell, I love your window too, and thanks for the kind words on mine.

Thanks to everyone else as well. I'm a bit out of practice, but pleased at the results.

'Jug of daisies', watercolours, 10 by 8 ins. Fabriano paper.

I used a better grade of paper for this window view. Inspired by a photo on paintmyphoto.com

Re: Watermedia "September Challenge"

Hi everyone.

Vivien, I do love those rich blues and purples. I must try adding some inktense to watercolours. Inspiring.

Shell, I love how you have framed the window with the foliage. Lovely design.

Misa, the castle archway is inviting...makes me wonder...what lies beyond. Reminds me of Dudley castle.

Kathy, I love your acrylic painting as it captures the beauty of the ruins perfectly.

Re: Watermedia "September Challenge"

Viv, loving those cool lavender tones with this one and it makes us want to walk on through. Great job adding the Inktense, too.

June, your window bouquet is quite stunning! You've left a lot of white which is most admirable. Love the color choices.
