New art desk

Well, I finally have my new art desk to the point where it is functional. I built this desk out of hickory and was able to find the hardware that is the same as commercial desks. I still have to build the drawers. I built it with a paper storage on the end.
I also just finished off the room that it is in so I now have a dedicated art room.

Beautiful desk, I'm envious. And congratulations on the dedicated room but get that carpet up off the floor!

Re: New art desk

Thank you everyone! It is nice to have a place to do art other than the kitchen table.

Maxime, it is all Hickory.

Re: New art desk

WOW, Greg that is one beautiful desk. Just keep your vacuum cleaner handy. The ink dust from scratching will settle in the carpet so when you walk around it, it will make you sneeze like crazy. I have carpeting in my scratch room too but I vacuum after every job. Once again, fantastic work on your new desk!

Re: New art desk

Great architectural design, and the hickory wood is awesome.....now to patent it unless you did it from a pattern. It is so functional!
