acrylic on panel, 6x12 in. C&C would be much appreciated by this beginner. Not thrilled with the result but enjoyed the process.

I think it is a very nice piece of work. The only thing I would have done differently would be to leave out the part leaf an the left and Likewise the part tulip on the right. Nit picking really, a great effort especially for a beginner.

I agree with George!

You do observe well though, and that's a huge plus in floral painting ..... one thing to remember is to not get hung-up on the reference - move things, add darker tones and brighter highlights .... think about the light on the plants.

You might also get ideas from seeing how others tackle similar subjects by joining us for the Plant Parade challenge every month - look for the sticky near the top of the forum page.
