Hails from South Africa
A Vision

Oil on board, 20 x 15 cm (about 8 x 6 inch):

Not that I'm particularly Catholic, but I like religious art, and I noticed on the news that the Pope has formally canonized two of the children involved in the famous Fatima vision.

The first thing that came to mind when I tried to visualize peasant kids were Amish ones, so I dressed my young visionaries in Amish clothing, even though the Amish are protestant. What can I say? That's the way I imagined it so that's the way I painted it. ;-)
