Re: Heavenly Garden

Nice pic but if I remember my Bible classes in the Heavenly Garden there was an intruder--Satan, in the form of a snake. There to tempt the inhabitants Adam and Eve.

Apparently missing from your pastel. You may want to consider drawing them in or altering the title to "Pretty Garden" or something equally un-Biblical.

Re: Heavenly Garden

I may be a little late but I prefered the first one better with the bright burst of sunlight at the top because it pushed the visual attention down towards the brilliant red. However, that is not to say I don't like the correct one. Love your work as always.

No, I'm re-tired from academia--but if I were still languishing in those hallowed halls I'd give you 3 points for a positive sense of humor bringing you up to a 10 out of 10.

Re: Heavenly Garden

trufflecat..thanks I appreciate it.

I have had an extrodinary day. This morning I had three visitors to my studio and someone purchased this painting and three other small pastels. One lady then decided she liked a very large painting and purchased it. As if this was not enough I then go online and a gentlemen that I have been in discussions with decided to order a very large commission 48" x 48" version of Pink Palace (one of the small pastels I recently posted) and on top of that he wants the large painting "Under Construction"...I cannot believe it, I have not sold anything for about 4 months so I needed this boost.

Re: Heavenly Garden

Well done Katie, it's great to hear of your success! It's strange how things happen like that, definitely good for the morale. May you have many more days like this!
