P-51D Mustang (nearing completion)

Still yet to paint the fuselage and add the whites to the distant clouds, but it's getting there, albeit very slowly. Been rather busy in the hospital these past weeks so progress is painstakingly slow.

Thanks guys. Guess I can't take full credit for the composition though. It's based on a photograph and, after careful thought, I decided against meddling with the composition - mostly as it's an exercise of mine.

It's Acrylic on a 24x20 inch (approx) canvas, so considerably larger than the original. I've had to make up a lot of details, particularly in the background.

She certainly doesn't. Very stunning aircraft. Probably why I put off painting a Spitfire to paint this one
