Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- September, 2012.

Cindy - So heartfelt sorry for the loss of your daughter. Even though I don't know you I am lifting you up in a warm brace of condolence.

It has been a lot of fun looking at all of the work and I have found something I wish I could do in each and everyone's pieces.
(Laughed at the little squirrel looking as if he is about to pounce on those grapes.)

Here is my fish - freehand on Bristol 7 x 9
(tried the bird and had an epic failure on the water)
I desperately need new glasses!! I am seeing doubles and not sure when the pen hits the paper if I have the right spot. Between the astigmatism and need for bifocals I'm surprised I could get a line next to another.

P.S. I have been so lost in wetcanvas the lost couple of weeks my head is spinning. Just how large is this place??

Geri, I think you have to have 2 posts before you can upload a drawing.
I'm new too. Try again to post.

Larkfour -- Welcome to the Pen and Ink Project. Your Fish is beautifully drawn, if you can draw so great with indifferent eyesight, I sure would like to see what you can do when you get new glasses. Very well done.

Geri -- Welcome to the Pen and Ink Project. Your Old Mill is great, and I like the way you have done it. Looking forward to seeing more from you.

Val.

Another newcomer to ink. I hope to become more fluent with the medium. At the moment I am finding it horrifying and exhilarating in equal measure, haha. Great work everyone.

Munin Raven -- Welcome to the Pen & Ink Project. Wow oh Wow, for a newcomer to penwork, this is absolutely fantastic. I really love everything about it, and I hope we will see a lot more penwork from you.

Valchina, thank you for the encouragement. It's a tough medium that goes against my usual tendencies.

Munin Raven, your inkwork is great. I also admire your quote, or perhaps more correctly stated, Elwood's quote. Harvey is my all time favorite movie and Elwood is a character I truely admire.

Re: Monthly PEN & INK Project -- September, 2012.

Haha. Thanks, Fidgement, or Helen... if I may. I used to watch tons of old B&W Hollywood films on rainy Sunday afternoons when I was a Kid. Most were somewhat forgetable, but Harvey has always been special. Top to bottom great cast, and it manages to ring truer the older I get. It was the 5th DVD I ever bought. My video copy failed some years previously.

Regards
