Re: Woody

Hey You Two!
Sculpturedolls: I will post a picture of the planter in the clay when I get it done with Woody. Unfortunately I ran out of clay to form it so it will be a short while when I post it.
ArtsyLynda: Yes, I can color it turquoise. That will be no problem since I can get the match with blue and green dry pigments that will be added to the plaster that will make up the face layer of the final cast piece. I will certainly keep that in mind for you.

Please be patient...............After casting, I will get a cost of shipping. There is a company in Tempe that has shipped my art and I will be contacting them to get a price.

Re: Woody

You don't need to make it turquoise! I was being silly. We don't have a "color scheme" in our yard, so make it whatever color you think looks best and I'll love it (as long as it isn't gray - I truly hate gray, it depresses me!) Maybe teal instead of turquoise? Or terra cotta color? Or something else that is un-gray! Have fun with it!

Re: Woody

We love Woody in our backyard! I just finished painting him and planting the pansies. My husband said he's cute and that he looks like he was meant to be right where I put him. Thank you for the gift! He will bring us and our guests lots of smiles and good conversation. Plus I get to put pretty flowers in it which look so cute at the bottom of the Woody tree.

I painted him with green spray paint and then used a tan stone colored spray paint to highlight the bark etc. I really love how he turned out. Thank you once again!

Hey Sculpturedolls!
Wow! He really looks good in your courtyard! I love the coloring you've done! I am so pleased he's found a good home! The pansy's look great in the planter box. Thanks so much for posting!

Re: Woody

The pansies look so cute underneath the tree. They look like they might in nature with having a bunch of flowers planted below a tree. Super cute and I love the happy yellow to go along with the green and the cute sentiment of the olive tree.

I shared your picture of the tree that inspired you to sculpt it with my friends on IG. They thought the tree was pretty interesting and makes for a great story to be told. Thank you once again for your generosity.

Re: Woody

The big hoops worked great for hanging the piece. I painted some chain with snaps the same color green and they look fine on the back of the piece to hang it. It is a very secure piece. The tan color is a sand like paint with grits of colored sand that spray out in the paint. I am sure it will hold up well outside and later I can always paint it again if need be.
