Marshall, your Sedona piece is very nice, well done.
To everyone about my Campanula with the dark background: I do appreciate the suggestion of a wash as an alternative to the dark lines. I think that is a better way to go. And Kay, your bread and coffee maker are proof positive of what a little color can do!
Unfortunately, Higgins Eternal is not waterproof so adding some washes at this stage would be quite the dramatic change
But I do agree that a little color on the flowers would help bring them out of the background. I shall keep these much appreciated suggestions in mind for future drawings.
Now I need to seek out a good waterproof ink that works well in dip pens. I've tried some of the acrylic inks and they don't seem to flow very well in a dip pen.
