Re: "Untitled Tiger" - Wip

Thanks everyone!!

I like the idea title too. I could only come up with 'sumatran huntress' since it was a female sumatran tiger haha

Lol Patrick that made me laugh haha he will be needing a shave on the other side too soon.

Re: "Untitled Tiger" - Wip

Hey everyone!!

Well I finally got this finished! Mods, could you mark the thread finished please.

I am still debating on whether or not I should enter it into a competition. As my first board with moderate background I think it is a success. Although I need to invest in more tools such as the fibreglass brush and I really want an airbrush.

Let me know if anything looks off please.

All C and Cs are welcome and thanks for looking!

Hope you like it!

If you didn't use a fiberglass brush how did you do the leaves and branch?!

Great work! And I would def. consider entering it.

Beautiful piece Irfan...the only tiny nit I have...the whiskers on our left side seem to stand out too much and my eye keeps going there...perhaps 'dim' them a little bit with a light ink wash? Just my 2 cents...feel free to ignore. You did a really wonderful job of scratching this.

You've got nothing to lose by entering it in competitions and everything to gain. Gor for it!

You must enter this in a competition Ahmed. It has lots of drama and is very well scratched. I like it a lot. Well done

Re: "Untitled Tiger" - FINISHED

Wow thanks everyone!!! Your comments kept me going with this one, I was close to quitting a while back.

Susan I used fine sandpaper for the leaves and wood. It was tough work haha

Lorna, I see what you mean but if I reink that area I run the risk of ruining the fur underneath with lines of a different tone.

I still may do some more touch ups on this one and get a better photo.

Guess what? I working on another tiger, lol I can hear you all sighing. haha

I love that the tiger looks surprised and not threatening to me. Wonderful tool work!
