"Untitled Tiger" - FINISHED

Hi everyone!

I am back with a new board of a tiger. It is from my own reference and will include some foliage.

I decided to bite the bullet and do something a little different since I was getting sick of doing the same sort of thing over and over again. I think it is time to include some proper backgrounds. This piece will therefore be an experiment but I am hoping to learn from it.

It is 14x18.

Most of the fur is in the what I like to call the under scratching stage and is looking a bit rough.

I don't know why but I feel like it is time for me to do some serious pieces so that I can get my name known and maybe even get into some sort of competition. I think I have done enough practice pieces now and even though I am 19, I need to get serious now.

Funny how I was doing another tiger piece this time last year.

As always all C and Cs are welcome.

Thanks for looking.

It's looking great so far! I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

And don't let your age stop you from doing anything, art-wise. If anything, use it to your advantage! You may meet some people that will look down on the age-thing and think that you lack experience because you are so young, but plenty more will be stuck on "He's that young, and producing work like THAT? Wow.." I say go out there, market yourself, submit to shows, etc. You have the skill for it.

I love the eye on this one already. It's nice to see a "19" year old with a vision. You've got the world by the tail. Scratch away!

Re: "Untitled Tiger" - Wip

Thanks everyone for your amazing comments! They are really encouraging and it is nice to know you think I can pull this one off.

I am really glad I found wetcanvas or else there was no way I would be doing this sort of art. I have met so many amazing artists through this who have been inspirational.

Thanks!

Irfan, if you want it, it's out there. Be prepared to put your skills to work but that shouldn't be a problem. You have talent running out your ears.
