Re: August 2010 Landscape Challenge

Beth, I love your version of the Jamaican beach scene. That's so gorgeous. Thanks for mentioning it was in oils. I forgot to comment earlier while grabbing references but I loved it on sight.

I picked the other Jamaica reference and did it in Prismacolors in the sketchbook Blick sent me, a hardbound one 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" in a cool natural canvas cover.

Rocky Shore in Jamaica
3 3/4" x 5"
Prismacolor Premier colored pencils (2005 New Colors set)
65lb white sketchbook paper (Blick hardbound sketchbook)
Photo reference by rugman for August 2010 Landscape Challenge

Re: August 2010 Landscape Challenge

Beth, your beach scene looks lovely and great lighting on the leaves

Robert, great rocks and sea on your beautiful painting

Here's my effort on that rocky coast , and if the rocks are out of place we will just blame it on the weather

Painter 11, impressionist brush and grainy blender, on simulated watercolour paper. Posting it as an attachment incase the images decide to disappear again

Re: August 2010 Landscape Challenge

Nice selection. That last one reminds me of the Monet poster I have in my bedroom.
