Re: Zooo!!

Irfan, these are amazing. Gosh didn't take long for you to get that new camera. Kachink, kachink. I would love to use one or two of your images down the track but will contact you first. When i get my mojo back. It's gone missing somewhere and confidence has disappeared somewhere. But I will be back someday soon I hope.

Re: Zooo!!

Great shots Irfan! Thanks for sharing them and they have inspired me to head over to the zoo soon for some more photos before the weather becomes too warm again.

Re: Zooo!!

Very nice work Irfan. Looks like you are a natural. What on earth do want to go sticking your hands into people's bodies for when you can paint and scratch like you do and take shots like this???

Seriously though, glad you do want to do that since the world needs medical professionals more than ever

I'm not the greatest expert Lorna but I think the raptor is a Harris Hawk. Maybe someone can confirm it.

Re: Zooo!!

Irfan's going to be a doctor?? I did not know that...I think it's awesome. We need them more than ever...our town is losing 1 more the end of April leaving only 2 and a travelling one to serve several thousand people.

Thanks Patrick...sure is a gorgeous looking bird...so is that owl! Fantastic shots, Irfan!

Re: Zooo!!

Well, shame on me! I had not seen all the pages of this thread when I first commented, now I have - lesson learned. *blush*

You must have an incredible zoom lens Irfan! I can't believe the quality of the extreme close-ups you are getting!! O_O I'm a macro fanatic so I really love the close-ups.

What kind of camera was your older one and what kind is the new one?

Re: Zooo!!

Thanks everyone!! The African Dog looked constipated!!

Just to clear things up Currently I am a pharmacy student and once I have completed my degree in pharmacy I will apply for medicine, my all time dream career!

Discovering and understanding the human body to extent which may lead to saving a life consolidates, for me, that medicine is the most challenging and rewarding career. I am determined to become Dr. Ahmed, even if it takes me 9 years.

Lorna - I am pretty sure the bird is not a Harris Hawk, because I have took shots of that also, I think it was a tawny eagle.

Nancy - My old camera was the Panasonic Lumix FZ38 ( a superzoom), I felt that it was limiting so I upgraded to the Canon EOS 550d and then I got the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L lens just recently. Now I truly have no excuse for using other peoples shots.

If you really want to see other shots from me that are NOT available for use this is my Flickr.

I may add more in the future, I am certain I will take way more shots than I can ever use.
