Re: Mandala Self-Portrait Challenge!

Great to have you joining in, Barbara! Just shout if you have any questions or are feeling stumped... Want any muffins?

Susan, I'm with you-- this is the kind of thing I need right now, too. Got a muffin request?

Sophia, you're right. Mango muffins sound *really* good with ginger tea... I've never had any either-- time invent a new recipe!

Certainly, Roady! Would you like honey-butter or regular? It's good to have you along!

Thumbs up Re: Mandala Self-Portrait Challenge!

Tess,
Sorry saw your note after I edited my post.. I'd like Chocolate Chocolate chip muffins... with coffee... black!

I have never done anything like this so it's going to be fun. It seems many people here have done one... I never heard of it...

Re: Mandala Self-Portrait Challenge!

I have a question?

Try to avoid using obvious symbols and images. ?? I can't use symbols?

I was thinking of using for instance... for family tree, flags of the country's of my ancestors. for hobbies, pictures of the different things..Music some logos...

what should I use instead? Do I have to look outside the box?

Using symbols is just fine, but try to use ones that have a *personal* slant for you... The flags, for example... could you use them as a starting point? Incorporate the colors, or an element of them, *and* something from a story about the relative you're wanting to show, or a feeling you have about that relative. You don't have to look outside the box, so to speak. Just dig a little deeper in it and see what's underneath that first layer.

For the music... is there a lyric you could focus on instead of using a logo? Remember, *we* don't have to understand immediately what you're showing. You can explain it to us, if you want to. For this challenge, the only viewer that matters is *you.*

Did that answer it, or did I confuse you further (I'm really good at confusing people. We could call it one of my talents! )?

Re: Mandala Self-Portrait Challenge!

Don't get too dizzy, Lisa!
I'm having trouble editing myself... way way Way too many ideas, and the only way to fit them all in would be to do a mural!

Re: Mandala Self-Portrait Challenge!

I would like to participate in this challenge too. I am not a (or the) muffin man so any chance of a "nutty biscuit", I don't mean to be difficult.

Thanks and kind regards
Phil
