Janet - what a great reference you got! And I love the eye - very cat-ish!
Sooo.... the white part's next...

I must admit I still haven't decided on my reference....

Yikes, Paapu! You're going to give us *all* severe panic attacks at this rate.

Off to a great start, Janet! The eye looks good.

Soooo... any other brave souls started already?

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

Thank you Amira and Tess!

Another great place to find copyright free reference photos is stock exchange just type in the search field white. Here is the link http://www.sxc.hu/index.phtml

Paapu, I hope we don't have to use a black and white reference. I'm really finding this challenging enough.

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

In retrospect, maybe my photo shoot photos aren't quite white enough! I thought they were at the time, but now I've changed my mind.

This isn't white enough, is it.

Or this one. Do either of these work? Do you like one of them better? Urghh, this is the hardest part!

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

MEANT to take some ref photos today, but didn't .... hmmm.... tomorrow...

Maggie - I like the actual tea glass better in the second shot, but the first works better composition-wise (don't ask me why, just my feeling). The 'outdoors' is a bit distracting in the second one, and the window bar seems a bit distorted, but not enough so to create an interesting perspective...

Making any sense?

Yes! Thanks. Does it have enough white to count for the project or should I use a horse, instead?

I like the first photo better. The second seems twisted to me.

I have my reference photo picked out. Now to start on it!

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

Maggie - on a personal note, I think it would be more interesting if the main subject was white. Still I like the tea photo you took.
AND of course a horse is always great, but... can a horse still be a challange to you ???

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

Lisa - black and white are not out, but try not to use the black as a 'dark gray'.
Just give it a try - I'm sure it'll be fun!

Roses - good for you, I'm looking forward to your post. You're at least one step ahead of me (still haven't decided on the reference....)

Re: CP Project: MULTICOLORED WHITE – Stay away from Gray!

I've finally found a reference photo and will draw it and transfer it today. This reference is from the WC RIL. I'll post the name of the photographer later.

Love the cat reference Janet. Beautiful!

I like the contrast of the tea against the white, but the tea is the focal point, not the woodwork, so perhaps another 'whiter' image needs to be found Maggie.
