Good art like good food. Take time to prepare.

Yeh - but how about a time out every 5,000 strokes or so?

Re: Portrait of Abby WIP

This is going to be so beautiful My flying carpet is broken down *sniffle* and so I have no real advice on what one would look like. I thought, like Maggie, that it would mold around her bottom and feet a bit more but then I thought that if it were soft enough to mould around anything then it'd go all squidgy and she'd fall off or it'd wrap itself all over her wouldn't it? And teddy, lantern et al? So I reckon a small indent for her bottom would be just right.

Oh and post an update you procrastinator! We're all dying of suspense over here

Re: Portrait of Abby WIP

I'm flattered you're all so anxious to see what's happening with my portrait but you're going to have to cool your jets. I've been working on the linear, trying out a variety of additional ideas from dragons, trees, butterfies, swans and castles (most of which I've rejected) not to mention alternative color schemes. I just this evening put colored pencil to paper. Sienna brown. There. You have the horrible truth.

(I told you not to expect quick results)

Right, sure. For those of you who can't translate BS (Babelfish doesn't have it yet), here, I'll help:

MEANING: Katherine was right, I am conducting a psychological experiment on anticipation and you guys are really making me feel good about myself aside from proving my thesis.

So, nice try, Tommy, but I'm onto you, as you can see. So put down those Oreos, peel your eyes from the evening gown competition, and get us some sketches scanned in at the very least! Or else I'll translate the rest of your posts as well!

Re: Portrait of Abby WIP

LOL Funny stuff Maggi! I have been procrastinating but out of uncertainty and nervousness more than anything else.

Btw I never watch CSI or Miss A and I don't eat sugar. I like 24, Survivor, CNN and bagels.

Uh, huh. Like you don't even pause to glance casually at the swimsuit competition while flipping between channels? Riiiight! My bs-meter is topping out! And you're nervous like I'm tall and blonde.
