Re: Show & Tell Tuesday April 20th

Wowza amazing S&T today. Some fabulous colors. I am finally on an earlier schedule (how long it will last who knows) so I hope to make S&T more often. Here's our showing for the day. Alas there is no pink, but purple makes a nice substitute LOL...We don't usually do many hearts but I have become just obsessed with doing these, I like them cause you can make them big but they are still very light-weight. I came up with a water-colour like affect with the stringer on the one heart, I really like the way it looks...well off to start my day (that means I need java)....Have a good one....

Re: Show & Tell Tuesday April 20th

Wow, great stuff everyone! Jeremy, I have serious boro envy myself now and Sarah, what great ducks, all those little duckies made me feel a bit psychotic this morning, like I ought to be screaming, "get these ducks off meeeeee!" Everything this morning is GORGEOUS!

Here's a couple of sets I've made over the past few nights

The first one is kind of plain and not all that matched since my gray beads came out alllll wrong, but at least the sizes and shapes are nice

The second one I did last night and while it was cooling it had FABULOUS colors in it, but now it looks like someone preserved their puke after a night of drinking in bead form.

I apologize for the picture quality - it was taken by an uncaffinated hussy.

Kel

Re: Show & Tell Tuesday April 20th

Good Tuesday morning, I hope your day is going well...Just two beads from me, one I am very happy with, 4 1/2 inches long, and one I am heartbroken over, 4 1/4 inches long, NOT ANY MORE!!!! ...All that work and poof, it is gone...I worked so incredibly long just getting the main bead, with all kinds of colors for a canvas for the flowers. This was going to be my entry into the Corina Challenge this month and now I have to do it all over again..I have had bead disasters before, but nothing quite so heartbreaking as this one - I Love everything that you all have shown today, but that teddy, well it grabbed my heart right away - Have a wonderful Tuesday - God Bless - Virginia L.

Beautiful stuff. I love the color combination!
I hope you don't mind me asking but who makes the silver flat beads in your set .. I would love to incorporate these in my own bracelets.. Are they available online? And what do you call them? . Thanks Billie

Gorgeous stuff everyone! Sarah, I just LOVE all those duckies!!!

Two dichro hearts:

And a goofy experiment. It's a hollow vessel that evolved into a vase. I'm going to reheat it today to work on the mouth and see if I can make it a little less wonky. But gee, it was fun! It's about 2" tall and 1" at the widest part.

Thanks Jeremy (and everyone else) for the compliments. The green beads are pale yellow green base, a thin layer of nile green opalino and little streaks of ink blue and periwinkle.

It's actually a SOB I rescued from the water bucket. I was trying to double encase, but got the silly thing too hot and it tried to drip off the mandrel. I mushed and squished, heated the tool marks out, and stuck it in the kiln. I liked it so much I made it two little buddies at the following torch session. The ink streak is much bluer than the photo shows.
