Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

Susan nice job on the graphite. Welcome. Glad you found us. We are a really friendly group. New list every 9 days. It really helps hone skills. And takes away the "what do I draw" blues.

Hi Robert! Lovely to see you and your sketch! I like the way you did the vase and I love apples.

Susan, welcome. I like your pencil sketches. Nice flowing lines.

Thanks all on the digi sketches. I usually take longer on those than anything else. Yesterday I got out my new Pan Pastels to sketch and instead did a sketch with the pastels. Ha. I don't have the right little tools for detail, but it was fun trying them. I just did the sketch on MiTientes paper so only for fun. About an hour out on the porch. Gene put up a tarp so we could be out of the sun and wind.

Number 10, three things from a drawer

Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

Robert - great "on a shelf" items

Jacquip - thank you. I'm not so brave ... it was done for me. Everything was wiped out. All documents, all images, everything (!) I'm practicing the zen of "non attachment"

Susan - welcome! Check out all your lovely items!

Jo - good job on those kitchen items. Thanks for the bonus photo of your set up including Gene

Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

Susan welcome, I look forward to seeing some sketches from you. It is addictive and so much fun.
Jo nice job with the pastels. That looks like a great porch area.
EP loving your sketches esp fridge magnet and hand

A couple more from me, still pen in cheap sketchbook. It is filling up fast
I found another mini flashlight when looking through my drawer for items so had to draw that as well.
6 - lid - this is a small applicator for masking fluid, makes life so much easier
7 - keyring - I don't actually use this one as it is so nice. A friend actually painted the tiny pic inside for me.
8 - 3 items from my drawer - nail clippers, whiteout pen and cutting knife
9 - game piece - I like to play computer games, so this is a controller for my pc.
Hoping to get a few more done soon. I'm really enjoying being back into this, thanks so much everyone.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

Jo love seeing the patio and work area. Hi to Gene. Your grater fits in a drawer. I have a flat one so it does fit.

Jacqui nice group of graphite. I only play a couple games on computer and nothing you use special pieces for. I play Spite and Malice a card game most of the time. I used to play it with my landlady daily when I lived in Oregon.

EP I have one of those magnets. Handy. Nice glove and good hand position. In 2000 my hard drive crashed. I lost everything including photos of some relatives no longer living. A friend had saved a lot of the photos of my artwork and a few of my relatives who live here so I was able to get them from her. Not fun to lose everything. It's like your house getting robbed.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

Jacquip - thank you. That's the best thing to do with a cheap sketchbook is fill it up fast What a pretty keyring! LOL at the game piece

Jeanne - yes that magnet is handy. In fact I need to put it back on my fridge right after this because I have the garbage pickup schedule to clip to it. This is not the first time that I've had a computer wipeout. But this is the first time I'm trying hard to not freak out about it.

Re: Scavenger Hunt #417 August 17-25

EP, Useful fridge magnet. I like your sketches with the semi borders! Are you getting smoke?? Is it dry there, too? Awful for the folks in Washington and the west coast.

Jacqui, clever game piece. I was thinking board games. Handy flashlight and interesting lid.

Thanks, all. Jeanne, yes, the grater is small about 6 x 4 x 3 inches. Doesn't work for a crowd. Ha.

Ai, I like the things from the fridge. Cute girls...Fun. Blue coffee cup, thanks! Cool magnet!

I managed one more.

Bonus, Pia waiting to go for a walk. Gene's sister is here and our son Larry. Another of Gene's sisters and her spouse and Gene's brother and daughter arrive today. Should be fun. Gene and 3 others are going water rafting tomorrow and zip lining on Thursday for his birthday. The rest of us will have a calmer couple of days!
Number 11, upside down - foot stool
Number 12, gloves - silicone that are good for hot, cold, cleaning, etc.
Number 13, lock - deadbolt

Thanks for the Hunt, Ai. See y'all next Hunt.
