I am so happy you stuck with this large and difficult piece, and your first???!!! I thought you said you had worked with CP before, that's why you opted to go this large...

Anyway... It is wonderful! (and I already have it in my computer... yepee!!!) And I am also glad you found a good spot for your signature. I like it very much, it says "Ali created this", and blends without glare, which IMO is a very important detail...

The way you have used colour/light/darks works very well. I first look at the leaves, with soft planes going up and down, floating peacefully, but with a lot of presence. The colour passages on them and the highlights are great! Then the sparkling diamonds on the water, teasing with whatever may lie deeper...

I come to the flower, fully open. And even more symbolism, a bud patiently waiting in the dark - the certainty of more blooms coming in time.

Then the dark background, that goes back forever, and makes me feel I want to start the "trip" all over again!!!

You have taken someone else's photo, but the fact you picked it and made it your own says a lot. And you interpreted it in a unique way: Ali's way.

Very well done! I have never felt so inspired to say so much!

As for what's next, you will know. Take your time to look around (or in) and find the one. It's part of the process!

Ali! I just noticed this! I am so totally and utterly impressed! I KNEW you would finish it and I KNEW it would be wonderful (as evidenced by your start) but this finished piece is overwhelming. It is drop-jaw gorgeous is what it is! The colors are rich and captivating and the flower is mesmorizing!

Fabulous! FAbulous! Fabulous!

Hey there Ali. I'm so glad I stopped by to see your finished piece. You have done such an absolutly wonderful job on this. It just amazes me, the depth you have created. It looks alive and beautiful. I just knew you would do a marvelous job from the very beginning. I realize all you have went thru to get this done and I am very proud of you for sticking with it in spite of everything. You should be very proud of yourself too for all you have acomplished. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. I'm sure it will be something else great.

Your fan
