Re: Scavenger hunt #247 - 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2011

Lin great job with such limited movement. I love those incense cones. Very nice feather, with both hands.

Janet great shading on the shoes. Love the bracelet from your childhood. That choc looks pretty good to eat.

THanks Jo, hope you get the desk and it all works out fine. Must be so hard setting up house again.

OMG I can't believe this hunt is over all ready. Where does the time go... Thanks so much for hosting Lin.

Re: Scavenger hunt #247 - 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2011

Jo: Thanks for all the kind comments--I only wished sand dollars = $$. Hope your studio is up and running real soon.

Jacquip: Thanks for comments--I agree that this week sped by; and here I thought they went by fast when I was only printing out the lists!

Lin: Thanks for hosting my first challenge...hope your arm is back to normal in no time!

Here's my final two drawings of this challenge. I did try sketching pretzels (snack) in the mirror--it didn't go so well, I got so frustrated that I ate the models

# 17 Jewelry: Pendent necklace with my name in Hawaiian

# 18 Flower: Model was a GORGEOUS tiger lily that was part of a "Day after Thanksgiving 50% off Flower Bouquet from Walmart"

Re: Scavenger hunt #247 - 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2011

Janet - great work - omg plain chocolate cherries would also be MY favourites! Know what you mean about shoes - the comfiest are usually the least fashionable. lovely colourful sketches. at eating the models for the snack food.

Jo - would love to see the sketches if you get round to scanning them. I'm so glad you can get yourself sorted after all the unrest you have had this year.

Eye - EXCELLENT work on the mussel shell - so iridescent. You have really thrown yourself into this hunt and, as always produced some great work. I think Jeanne will be very pleased with the ATC.

thanks all for well wishes , thanks EP for posting link to new one - I so wanted to sketch the things in this list.

Thanks all for participating and hope you enjoyed it.

Ai..great push to the finishline

The shading on the wooden spoon is perfect; I'm sure Jeanne will love having that ATC of flowers--so pretty; great drawing of Miss Iris, love the colors on the hair and dress...but....OMG! that mussel shell is INCREDIBLE! Did you use some kind of metalic paint/pen/pencil? Enjoyed all your work!

Re: Scavenger hunt #247 - 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2011

Thanks, Lin, for hosting. I had a good time, even if I didn't sketch much. So wishing you get well hugs and thoughts.

Jacqui, it has been a challenge setting up the house. Sort of like newly weds without the same enthusiasm. Ha.

Janet, love the flower, nicely done. Cool necklace. I love it when you can eat the models!!

Ai, Great sketches. I can't believe how the girls are growing. You will have such fun with the sketches as they grow older. Iris is so cute. Yummy coffee, I hear they are having egg nog lattes right now for the season, must try one. Of course I like the blue container. Great form on the spoon.

Thanks again, Lin. See y'all.

Joe, congratulations on both occasions!

Hi, Bonnie. See you soon.

Here are my few. Sketched the first things in the house and while the trailer was being cleaned, I sketched some of the other RVs. So noisy there, I had forgotten so quickly. Ha.

Number 1, seasonal - a poinsettia plant I got to have some color here.
Number 2, ornament - some Christmas balls and ribbons ready for the tree.

Number 3, man made - the trailers and Number 4, natural - the trees.

Re: Scavenger hunt #247 - 27 Nov to 5 Dec 2011

Janet, Lin: Thanks. I use many regular shades of the Coran D'arch wc pencils (but use dry) to do the mussel shells but no direct metalic shade pencil were used. The optical result turns more effective than I thought.

Bonnie: See you at the next Hunt after you get your art chi back.

Jo: I am so love your camping scene.
