Re: Drawn to Adventure: The Wilderness
There was fresh snow in the High Country (in fact, the road above the Courtney Ranch was still closed due to snow and ice) and I was still trying to acclimatize to alpine weather. But wildflowers were popping up everywhere. So, I decided to venture out along the Lakeshore Trail and see what I could find. Doing the "Wildflower Two-Step" (2 steps, "Oh, look at that!" 2 more steps, "Wow! What is that!?!") it took me an hour to cover the one mile from trailhead to Hazard Creek and all day to cover 4 miles out and back.... I LOVED it!

Great pages!!! I love how you showed that flower in your gloved hand to give it scale. I had to laugh at the "Wildflower Two-Step." Keep these coming!!

Your sketches are quite remarkable Earnest. Very unique style, impressive. I'm a bit jealous of your life right now.

Re: Drawn to Adventure: The Wilderness
The construction crew worked through the winter, taking advantage of the lake's low pool to get as much of the new dock completed as possible. The wild daffodils were a warning that warmer weather was on the way, and with it the spring runoff and higher water.

Re: Drawn to Adventure: The Wilderness
Nice action shots there of the construction crew. Yes, daffodils are telling you spring is here.
