Re: Septembre Plant Parade

So sorry to hear that some of your photos have disappeared. I've had that happen and it's so frustrating . The ones you did post are wonderful though. I can't wait until the 25th to see everyone's versions. Thanks for hosting.

Re: Septembre Plant Parade

Maria, thank you for hosting and the great refs! We all sure can relate to computer woes. It is a wonderful selection. Since you asked for correction, I believe the third one is a pomegranate.

Maria, these are superb references, thank you!

- I'm with you about computer woes - I blame Windows 10 and continuous updates for my problems!

Re: September Plant Parade

Thank you all for your kind words. I am glad you like it, and I am certain, because you are all so tlnted, you will do beautiful paintigs with it.

Maureen, I don't have Windows 10, because it is a very problemtic environement, as well as Windows 8.1. I use Windows 8, and have not made a single update since April 2018, because the last one (Windows 8.1) I had done made a mess out of my computer, and I lost several files.
So now, sometimes the software insistes on doing a difficulty, especially when I refused the latest updates, but I end up finding a way to go around the usual manouvers, and make it work.
This last time, the difficulty is a little arduous, but... I have found another way to get through it!!!!!
So, all is normal, for a moment at least.

But WC still refuses to publish my peaches and mulberry plane fruit's photos, and that doesn't depend on me.

Thank you for the Pomegranate correction. I can no longer edit my post.
Maureen, as a moderator, is that something you can do, please? Otherwise, I will know, for another time.

Re: September Plant Parade

Maria, you are wise to avoid W.10 for as long as possible! I had no option with my new computer but it was my biggest mistake with my old one .... grrrr!

I did edit your pomegranate

I'll send you my email for the other pics and I'll try uploading from home.

Thank you Maureen, for the extra pictures, WC refused to accept. As you said: a matter of accents...

Re: September Plant Parade

Well, don't know about anyone else, but I've finished! Yippee - done today because the weather is foul and I can't garden, so I had the pleasure of drawing instead!
See you tomorrow!

Re: September Plant Parade

Christel: succulent apricots in a beautiful light!
Here are mine, I enjoy the passiflora or passion flower, I've painted two to show the details of the intricate pistil of the incredible flower, did you know about the origin of this name ?: it is said :The name of ‘passion fruit’ was given to the fruit by the Jesuit missionaries in the XVIth century, that saw in the flower the marks of Christ’s Passion. The flower has spikes protruding from the center, symbolizing the crown of thorns.
I prefer this one:Some cultures believe that after eating a passion fruit, you'll fall in love with the next person your eyes fall uponIt's true the taste is unforgettable !
Watercolor 6/9 for the first one and A4 for the second
Which one do you like more?
