rotting log

sketch of a rotting log done in a Stillman and Birn 10x8 sketcbook, ink, watercolour and a tiny touch of coloured pencil.

Done on a an evening sketch session with friends, where we had the use of a classroom as well as the run of the gardens. Lovely old buildings and the classroom was off the courtyard below that I'd just sketched.

Re: rotting log

I love your old rotting log sketch with all its unique textural markings and the courtyard looks so inviting! Great use of color and line, Vivien!
