Re: Scavenger Hunt #596: July 24 - Aug 1

EP, you guessed it. We bought a bottle of Chilean wine for a party. Yummmm. The watercolor is so nicely done on your sketches. I like the ukulele, my mom played. We both clip and use Sensodine toothpaste. Ha. Good toes, I will never do mine, old toes are awful!

Indikon, hi there!!! Nicely done on the book. I like the shading.

I sketched at Zeb's, the only bar that is consistent and always open. We went to an artfest yesterday and stopped by for a drink on the way home. Sketched with a Micron 02 on a coaster..

Number 6, tastes delicious - margarita (daisy in English)

Today I sketched in the travel sketchbook about 7 x 10 inches with Prismacolor 05 and Chisel while Gene biked/triked, so sketched in the car.

Number 7, instrument - instrument panel
Number 8, knob - on the radio
Number 9, key - my car key

I like the creative use of waiting time, Jo! And the margarita is tempting. I haven’t had one for years!

Here’s my #2, a key:

It’s one I found with some bits of clutter at my parents’ house. I have no idea if it ever fit one of their doors. It certainly doesn’t work in any of the current ones. I used soluble graphite and water.

Jo - nice line work on toothpaste and flashlight. There was no question on what had been in the bag. Great little watercolor sketch. Is that p&i sketch done on one of your coasters? Or one from Zeb’s? Wow imagine that someone in this group drawing an alcoholic beverage? Nice work on dash, radio and key.

EP - you went crazy with ellipses! Sink, drain, faucet all well done. Nicely done on the watercolor sketches

Scatty - Love the snappy little dragon. Excellent shading on the bone and popping colors on teapot and book

Indikon - Welcome back. Nice shading on the book. That is a challenge for me in watercolor. I have not seen a skeleton key in years. Well done.

Ai

#1 Big toe
#2 Little toe
Done ATC size in 5x8 inch sketchbook. Only used 2b. Part of my goal of getting back into drawing every day.
And yes jo the are ‘old toes’ that are showing a bit of wear and tear.

Keep sketching
Joe

EP, great stairs! You did good. Thanks, EP, I'm off to check the new Hunt. You are taking more than your share...we appreciate it.

I got one more done in the traveling sketchbook with a ZIG 05 Blue, I decided to use it, I use the black all the time and the colors will still be good and I won't have any black left. Ha.

Number 10, connectors - for the trailer we bring

Jo - thank you. Good idea for connectors! I bet you haven't drawn your trailer hitch before?

Jo- Nice work on hitch! Blue seems to jump off more than black.

Thanks, Joe. And EP. you are right, never drew that before. I did leave off the safety chain and light connectors. Too much stuff. See all y’all next Hunt.

Joe - well done on the dust mask! I didn't get around to that one myself.

Jo - oh yes the safety chain and light connectors ... all essential hitch paraphernalia
